The Uncommon Friends Foundation recently added two prominent, community business leaders to its board of directors—Ward 4 Councilman for the City of Fort Myers Kevin Anderson and Melisa Giovannelli, a member of the board of directors of The School District of Lee County.

Kevin Anderson is a senior support operations manager at Chico’s FAS, Inc., following his retirement from more than 24 years with the Fort Myers Police Department. He also currently serves as the Ward 4 councilman for the City of Fort Myers. He has a long history of involvement with the youth of our community and was one of the first officers assigned to the School Resource Officer program. Anderson also served three years in the United States Army and is a graduate of Edison Community College, Florida Gulf Coast University and the Louisville Southern Police Institute.

Melisa Giovannelli is a life-long Lee County resident, a licensed Realtor® with Riverside Realty Group, and the District 2 member of The School District of Lee County’s board of directors. She, too, has been very engaged with the youth of the community. Giovannelli is a graduate of the Ed Klopher School of Real Estate and the paralegal program at Barry University. She is a member of the Royal Palm Coast REALTOR® Association and the National Association of REALTORS®.
