Sponsorship Opportunities

The Uncommon Friends Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, exists and operates thanks to our generous sponsors and donors. There are a variety of ways your business or organization can support and help us fulfill our mission. The Foundation offers corporate, organization and individual sponsorship opportunities. All donors and sponsors receive tax-deductible documentation.

Here are a few of the special events held annually that offer sponsorship and promotional opportunities:
UNCOMMON EVENING, is a major program of the Foundation. Highlights of the evening include recognition of the scholarship recipients and the teacher award winners, the salute to a business ethics winner, and the honoring of a lifetime membership award to an individual who truly exemplifies the traits of the original uncommon friends.

E-NEWSLETTER, published periodically throughout the year, is an expedient and direct way to keep our supporter database of over one thousand individuals informed of the most recent activities and strategic plans of the Foundation.

LECTURE SERIES showcases modern-day, nationally known uncommon friends who inspire and motivate the audience with their high values and experiences. These include a spirit of adventure, advancement of science and technology, advancement of business and industry and exemplary leadership to be emulated by all individuals.

MOTHER’S DAY BRUNCH, presented by the Foundation in conjunction with the Southwest Florida Symphony, has become a family tradition. The day highlights the beautiful and historic Victorian Mansion – the Burroughs Home and Gardens on the Caloosahatchee River, which is home to the Foundation.

SPIRITS ON THE GULF is a unique event during Halloween Week. Just as the haunted houses of yore hold their mysteries, so too does the Burroughs Home. This tongue in cheek historic event takes some liberties with the Burroughs Family stories and the stories of the grounds as well.

HOLIDAY HOUSE is a Fort Myers holiday tradition. The historic Burroughs Home at First Street and Fowler and the Langford-Kingston Home across the street are both decorated inside and out with a new holiday theme each year directed by the Fort Myers Woman’s Community Club. Nightly entertainment and visits from Santa Claus make this event a popular favorite during the month of December for thousands of residents and visitors.
